£20m sound studio, Five and some large film corporation?

Posted by: Simon on: 20th March, 2008.

Not quite Eastside but near about (Digbeth area).  I have heard some rumours over the recent past of some media companies interested in Birmingham.  One company has received £20m to build some recording studios, Five expanding and an American film corporation want to set up a UK based studio.  Anyone know any truth into these rumours?

Nice if true, when BBC and ITV have jumped ship and gone elsewhere.  The lack of representation on national TV of our region is pathetic and will only get worse.  Poor guys in Gloucester watching ITV local news with reports from Skegness about Jimmy boy Jim and his sandcastle.  BBC will be either have a London or Manchester theme.

EDIT: 27/03/08.  ;) erm ;) and ;)
