The Sunday Mercury have covered the closing of the Eagle and Tun.  Last time I knew it was open it was being used by Birmingham City University as classrooms.  Hopefully the new City Centre campus and thousands of students and local residence coming to Eastside will bring this pub back to life.

New £multi-million Recording Studios coming to Eastside

I mooted a good few months back on some £multi-million recording studios coming to Eastside, well here is the submitted planning application.  Of note, it will be a new home for UB40’s DEP International which is currently located in a rented premises at Andover Street.
I should really write a blog post on  UB40 and Eastside.
